Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
oly.ad uses only what it needs to work, plus Google Analytics — but only if you agree to it. There are no advertising cookies, and short links, landing pages and forms never set any cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work the same way, so they are covered here too.
2. Cookies we set
- oly — the session cookie of the oly.ad app. It is set when you open the sign-in page or your account. Strictly necessary; secure, not readable by scripts and only sent to oly.ad. It is deleted when you close the browser.
- oly_keep — keeps you signed in between visits, so you don't have to sign in again. It holds a random key (we store only its hash) and lasts up to 400 days; it is renewed while you use oly.ad and deleted when you sign out. Strictly necessary for staying signed in; secure, not readable by scripts and only sent to oly.ad.
- oly_oauth — only while you sign in with Google: protects that sign-in against forgery. Strictly necessary; expires after 10 minutes and is removed as soon as the sign-in finishes.
3. Analytics cookies — only with your consent
If you press "Accept" on the cookie notice, oly.ad loads Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which parts of the site are used. It sets:
- _ga and _ga_… — tell visits apart without identifying you. Kept up to 2 years.
Google Analytics receives the pages of oly.ad you open (without personal data in the address), your device type, browser, screen size, language and approximate location. Google does not store your IP address for Analytics, and we have turned off advertising features and data sharing. If you press "Decline", Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
4. Local storage we use
- oly_theme — remembers whether you chose the light, dark or system theme.
- oly_cookie_consent — remembers your choice on the cookie notice.
Both stay only in your browser and are never sent to us.
5. People who open short links, landing pages and forms
Opening an oly.ad short link, landing page or form does not set any cookies. The website a short link leads to may use its own cookies under its own policy, and a landing page may show images its author linked from another website, which then receives the usual request data from your browser.
6. Third parties
oly.ad does not load third-party scripts, fonts or ads. Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) is loaded only after you accept it. If you choose "Continue with Google", you go to Google's own sign-in page, where Google's cookie policy applies.
7. Your choices
Strictly necessary cookies and local storage need no consent. Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the oly.ad home page and of your account — choosing "Decline" stops Google Analytics and removes its cookies.
You can delete cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. If you block the "oly" cookie, you will not be able to sign in.
8. Contact
Questions: oly.ad/contact. More about how we handle personal data: oly.ad/gdpr.
